Ohio Licensed Senior Accountant

Job Summary

Supporting the accounting and financial operations of commodity businesses, the full-time Ohio Licensed Senior Accountant will manage financial reporting, prepare general ledger entries, and assist with audits while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and account reconciliations, supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Process journal entries and monthly reconciliations for various accounts, including operating expenses and accounts payable
• Provide analysis for budgeting and forecasting processes while collaborating with stakeholders across business segments

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience; utility accounting experience is a plus
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Great Plains) preferred
• CPA certification or working toward it is preferred but not required
• Authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis without sponsorship
