Ohio Licensed Senior Commercial Underwriter

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Ohio Licensed Senior Commercial Underwriter will assess and price endorsements, renewals, and new business while managing relationships with brokers and ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and price endorsements, renewals, and new business in accordance with established underwriting guidelines
• Provide timely customer service and accurate documentation in underwriting files
• Manage relationships with assigned brokers and agents, ensuring effective communication of company standards and requirements

Required qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience as a Transportation Underwriter in a multi-state, multi-line commercial insurance environment
• Prior remote work experience from a home office is required
• Strong technical knowledge of property and casualty underwriting, particularly in Commercial Auto
• Advanced understanding of ISO commercial class codes and regulatory requirements
• Proficient in underwriting and pricing principles to make informed decisions based on program criteria
