Job Summary

A company is looking for a Trauma Registrar.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, abstract, data enter, and code trauma patient records using TraumaBase
• Collaborate with various departments throughout the hospital
• Demonstrate knowledge and ability in trauma registry methodology and simple ad hoc reporting

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School completion or GED required
• Preferred educational qualifications in Health Information Management Systems (HIMS)
• 1-3 years of job-related experience, preferably in Trauma Registry or HIMS
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic anatomy
• Completion of specific training courses within one year of hire required by the American College of Surgeons
