Ohio Licensed Underwriting Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriting Managing Director to lead a team of underwriters and evaluate insurance applicants.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete wing-to-wing underwriting decisions and review underwriting data
• Coach and develop Underwriting Consultants and Senior Consultants
• Finalize cases and perform second-sign duties as necessary

Required Qualifications and Education

• 10 - 12+ years of Life Insurance Underwriting experience
• 5+ years of team management experience in an Underwriting capacity
• Ability to handle advanced decision-making without co-signature for amounts of $15 million or higher
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Completion of FALU, CLU, FLMI, or other insurance-related coursework preferred
