Job Summary

Maximizing the quality and cost-efficiency of healthcare services, the per diem Ohio Licensed Utilization Management RN will conduct reviews for admissions and transfers, collaborate with healthcare teams, and identify opportunities for improved service utilization in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Complete reviews for admissions, transfers, and payer rules to obtain necessary authorizations
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to allocate resources effectively
• Review cases to identify opportunities for enhancing hospital service utilization

Required qualifications

• Graduate of an approved NLN accredited School of Nursing
• Minimum of 3 years of acute care nursing experience
• Current RN license in the state of hire
• Knowledge of insurance guidelines and federal, state, and local regulations
• Experience with utilization review in a hospital acute care setting
