Ohio Licensed Utilization Review Nurse
Job Summary
To maximize the quality and cost-efficiency of healthcare services, the part-time Ohio Licensed Utilization Review Nurse will conduct reviews for admissions and transfers, collaborate with healthcare teams, and identify opportunities for improved service utilization while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Complete reviews for admissions and transfers to obtain necessary authorizations
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to allocate resources effectively
- Review cases to identify opportunities for enhancing hospital service utilization
Required qualifications
- Graduate of an approved NLN accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum of 3 years of acute care nursing experience
- Current RN license in the state of hire
- Knowledge of insurance guidelines and relevant regulations
- Experience with utilization review in a hospital acute care setting
