Job Summary

A company is looking for a Certified Coding Specialist - HB Outpatient Coding.

Key Responsibilities

• Completes analysis of documentation and assigns codes according to ICD-10 and other relevant guidelines
• Performs queries and obtains necessary documentation for accurate coding
• Maintains current knowledge of coding guidelines and federal regulations

Required Qualifications

• Certification as CCA, CDIP, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or CPC-A
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and coding applications
• Understanding of disease processes and etiology
• Familiarity with computer applications including Windows, Excel, and hospital information systems
• High school graduate or equivalent education level
