Job Summary
Analyzing clinical and demographic information, the full-time Oklahoma Certified Coding Specialist will assign ICD-10 codes and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Completes documentation analysis and code assignment according to various coding guidelines
- Performs queries and obtains necessary documentation for accurate coding
- Maintains current knowledge of coding guidelines and relevant federal regulations
Required qualifications
- Certification as CCA, CDIP, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or CPC-A
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and coding applications
- Understanding of disease processes and etiology
- Proficiency in various computer applications, including Windows and hospital information systems
- High school graduate or equivalent education level
