Job Summary
To support critical public-sector initiatives, the part-time Oklahoma Licensed AS400 Developer will maintain and optimize legacy applications, administer databases, and collaborate with managed hosting partners in a hybrid-remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, modify, and optimize custom applications written in RPG and Control Language while troubleshooting operational issues
- Serve as the primary technical contact for managed hosting providers, administering application-level security and managing job schedules
- Query and tune DB2 databases, optimizing SQL queries and ensuring secure data transfers between systems
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of hands-on experience in AS400 / IBM i / iSeries application development and support
- Advanced proficiency in RPG IV (ILE RPG), RPGLE, CL, and SQL for DB2 on i
- Demonstrated ability to manage and optimize DB2 for i relational databases
- Proven experience in coordinating with third-party managed AS400 environments
- Practical knowledge of IBM i administration, including user profile permissions and application-level security management
