Job Summary

A company is looking for an Authorization Specialist II to support the prior authorization request process for healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

• Aids the utilization management team by tracking and documenting authorizations and referrals according to policies
• Researches and documents necessary medical information for authorization reviews to assist clinical reviewers
• Verifies member insurance coverage and updates authorization requests in the utilization management system

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• 1 - 2 years of related experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance preferred
