Oklahoma Licensed Dental Hygiene Analyst

Job Summary

To support compliance with SoonerCare policies, the part-time Dental Hygiene Authorization Analyst will research, review, and analyze dental provider prior authorization requests remotely while managing their own schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Determine compensability for dental services by interpreting clinical documentation and agency forms
• Evaluate medical conditions in collaboration with the Dental Director to ensure medical appropriateness of services
• Review and make approval decisions on periodontal prior authorization requests based on medical necessity

Required qualifications

• Dental Hygiene certificate/degree from an accredited dental hygiene college
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience reviewing periodontal conditions and treatment plans for medical necessity
• Proficiency in interpreting clinical documentation and dental records
• Strong working knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and standards of care
