Job Summary
To support high-risk obstetrics coding, the full-time Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Professional Coder will manage complex coding tasks, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance while working remotely from Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, or Texas.
Key responsibilities
- Code complex professional encounters and procedures, ensuring correct sequencing and documentation alignment
- Resolve coding-related edits and denials by identifying root causes and coordinating documentation clarification
- Provide real-time guidance to peers on coding scenarios and participate in internal quality review programs
Required qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- At least 3 years of experience in physician/provider coding required
- CPC or CCS-P certification required
- Advanced expertise in ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and E/M coding
- Proficiency in Epic professional coding work queues and encoder tools
