Oklahoma Licensed MFM Coder

Job Summary

To support high-risk obstetrics coding, the full-time Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Professional Coder will manage complex coding tasks, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance while working remotely from Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, or Texas.

Key responsibilities

• Code complex professional encounters and procedures, ensuring correct sequencing and documentation alignment
• Resolve coding-related edits and denials by identifying root causes and coordinating documentation clarification
• Provide real-time guidance to peers on coding scenarios and participate in internal quality review programs

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• At least 3 years of experience in physician/provider coding required
• CPC or CCS-P certification required
• Advanced expertise in ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and E/M coding
• Proficiency in Epic professional coding work queues and encoder tools
