Job Summary
To support a growing coding team, the full-time Oklahoma Licensed Orthopedic Coder will independently perform complex professional coding across multiple specialties, ensuring compliance and accuracy while working 100% remotely with flexible shifts after training.
Key responsibilities
- Code complex professional encounters and procedures, ensuring correct sequencing and documentation alignment
- Resolve coding-related edits and denials by identifying root causes and coordinating documentation clarification
- Provide real-time guidance to peers on standard coding scenarios and participate in internal quality review programs
Required qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- At least 3 years of experience in physician/provider coding required
- CPC or CCS-P certification required
- Advanced expertise in ICD 10 CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers
- Proficiency in Epic professional coding work queues and encoder tools preferred
