Job Summary
Analyzing complex clinical and demographic information, the full-time Oklahoma Licensed Senior Coder will assign ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT/HCPCS codes across outpatient, surgical, and inpatient encounters while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform coding for outpatient, surgical, and inpatient encounters, including ICD-10-PCS and CPT procedure coding
- Review complex documentation, resolve discrepancies, and manage multiple work queues while maintaining coding accuracy
- Provide mentorship and guidance to coding staff and collaborate with CDI and providers to align documentation with coding practices
Required qualifications
- 1 year of coding experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- AHIMA-RHIA, AHIMA-RHIT, AHIMA-CCS, AAPC-CPC, AAPC-CIC, or AAPC-COC certification
- Experience applying ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT/HCPCS coding across various care settings
- Ability to independently interpret clinical documentation to support coding accuracy and consistency
