Job Summary
Working remotely on a PRN basis, the Oklahoma Licensed Trauma Registrar will collect, review, and analyze data from medical records and trauma care reports to ensure quality care and identify performance gaps.
Key responsibilities
- Accurately code and report treatment cases using ICD-10 CM and AIS coding
- Review care provided to identify variations in processes or outcomes
- Manage data retrieval, analysis, and ensure compliance with trauma registry guidelines
Required qualifications
- Minimum of one year of trauma registrar experience
- Graduate of Health Information Management baccalaureate or equivalent education/experience in a health-related field
- American Trauma Society-Trauma Registry Course certification within 12 months of hire
- Association of the Advancement of Automotive Medicine-Abbreviated Injury Scale Course certification within 12 months of hire
- American Trauma Society-ICD-10 Coding Course certification within 12 months of hire
