On-Call CAD Designer

Job Summary

On-Call CAD Designer is a part-time position requiring expertise in submarine communication systems to create detailed technical drawings and models, collaborating with engineers and stakeholders while receiving general supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize specialized software to create detailed technical drawings, models, and designs for engineering and manufacturing projects
• Generate 2D and 3D models and detailed technical documentation for manufacturing and assembly processes
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to review design concepts and incorporate feedback into design iterations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 5 years of experience, or an associate's degree with 8 years, or a high school diploma/GED with 11 years of experience
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in CAD & 3D design for submarine systems
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and Solidworks
• US Citizenship with an active Top Secret clearance
• Experience using model-based design tools and concepts
