On-Call CAD Designer

Job Summary

Supporting special projects as needed, the on-call CAD Designer will utilize CAD software to create detailed technical drawings and models for submarine communication systems while collaborating with engineers and stakeholders in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize specialized software to create detailed technical drawings and models for engineering and manufacturing projects
• Generate 2D and 3D models, ensuring design accuracy and manufacturability, while producing technical documentation for manufacturing processes
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to refine design concepts and incorporate feedback into design iterations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 5 years of experience, or an associate's degree and 8 years, or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 11 years of experience
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in CAD & 3D design for submarine systems
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and Solidworks
• US Citizen with an active Secret Clearance and ability to obtain a TS/SCI
• Experience using model-based design tools and concepts
