Job Summary
Serving as the primary contact for new members, the full-time remote Onboarding Specialist will manage telephonic outreach, educate members on health plan offerings, and ensure their healthcare needs are addressed during the transition to a new health plan.
Key responsibilities:
- Act as the main advocate for members until their care team is established, providing support through direct outreach and inbound calls
- Document members' existing healthcare services and new service requests while liaising with internal and external healthcare providers
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage members and encourage participation in the onboarding process
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience in call center and/or Medicare/Medicaid plan
- Five (5) years of relevant experience required
- One (1) year of experience working in outreach or with individuals facing behavioral, medical, social, or interpersonal complexities
- Experience using motivational interviewing techniques in a professional setting
- Experience working in a multi-cultural setting required
