Job Summary
Serving as the primary contact for new members, the full-time Onboarding Specialist will manage telephonic outreach, ensure seamless transitions to the health plan, and educate members about available services while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Act as the main advocate for members, conducting outreach and providing inbound call support until their care team is established
- Document members' healthcare services and new service requests while coordinating with internal and external healthcare providers
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage members and facilitate their onboarding process
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience in call center and/or Medicare/Medicaid plan
- Five years of relevant experience, including one year in outreach with individuals facing complex challenges
- Experience working in a multi-cultural setting
- Proficiency in motivational interviewing techniques
- Familiarity with electronic medical record and care management systems preferred
