Onboarding Specialist

Job Summary

Acting as the primary contact for new members, the full-time Onboarding Specialist will manage telephonic outreach, ensure a smooth transition to the health plan, and educate members on available services while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary member advocate until their care team is established, providing direct outreach and inbound support
• Document members' current healthcare services and new service requests while ensuring continuity of care during the transition
• Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage members and facilitate their onboarding process

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience in call center and/or Medicare/Medicaid plan required
• Five (5) years of relevant experience, including one (1) year in outreach with individuals facing complex challenges
• Experience working in a multi-cultural setting and using motivational interviewing techniques
• Familiarity with electronic medical record and care management systems strongly preferred
