Job Summary

Serving as the primary contact for new members, the full-time Onboarding Specialist will manage telephonic outreach, ensure a smooth transition to the health plan, and educate members on available services while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary member advocate during the onboarding process, addressing questions and concerns
  • Document members' current healthcare services and new service requests while coordinating with internal and external providers
  • Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage members and facilitate their participation in the onboarding process
Required qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience in call center and/or Medicare/Medicaid plans
  • Five years of relevant experience, including one year in outreach with individuals facing complex challenges
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural setting
  • Proficiency in using motivational interviewing techniques in a professional context
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record and care management systems preferred
