Job Summary

Serving as the primary contact for new members, the full-time hourly Onboarding Specialist will facilitate the transition to a health plan by conducting outreach, addressing member needs, and educating them about available services while working remotely.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage direct outreach to new members and provide inbound call support until their care team is established
  • Document current healthcare services and new service requests while ensuring continuity of care through provider outreach
  • Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage members and encourage participation in the onboarding process
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience in call center and/or Medicare/Medicaid plan
  • Five years of relevant experience, including one year in outreach or community work with individuals facing complex challenges
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural setting
  • Proficiency in motivational interviewing techniques
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record and care management systems preferred
