Oncology Coder Certified

Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare practice, the full-time remote Oncology Coder Certified will review medical records, assign diagnoses and procedures, and ensure accurate coding while meeting productivity and quality performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review medical records to identify and select principal diagnoses and procedures according to UHDDS definitions
• Ensure appropriate DRG assignment and abstract relevant information from medical records while maintaining real-time coding accuracy
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions, maintaining current knowledge of coding guidelines and contributing to a positive company image

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of Oncology Profee coding experience
• 3+ years of Profee Coding experience
• Experience using EPIC with 3M 360
• Current coding credentials such as CPC, COC, CIC, CCA, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, or RHIA
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding principles and guidelines
