Job Summary
Serving as a strategic communications advisor, the full-time salaried Oncology Communications Director will manage brand communications strategies, oversee media relations, and enhance the company's reputation through integrated communications focused on oncology initiatives, all while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide communications counsel to senior leaders across various teams within the oncology business
- Develop and lead external communications strategies for oncology commercial indications and pipeline, including key messaging and campaign materials
- Manage media relations strategies to strengthen the company's corporate reputation and prepare executives for media engagements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, Life Sciences, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- 10-12 years of experience in corporate communications or public relations, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with oncology experience strongly preferred
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategic communications plans in a complex, global environment
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
- Experience managing external agencies and budgets
