Oncology Data Specialist Certification Required

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Oncology Data Specialist I to maintain an efficient cancer database for patients diagnosed and/or treated with cancer.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the cancer database in compliance with American College of Surgeons requirements
• Meet productivity goals related to abstracting patient data
• Assist with annual follow-up of patients and case finding for the database

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Certification as an Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) within 3 years of hire
• 2 years of experience in Medical Records Data
• Knowledge of cancer registry practices and data entry
