Oncology Data Specialist Certified

Job Summary

Responsible for the abstraction and data entry of cancer patient information, the full-time Oncology Data Specialist Certified will maintain the Oncology Data Registry in compliance with established standards and regulations while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Perform abstraction and data entry for all cancer patients according to state laws and accreditation standards
• Maintain compliance with hospital cancer program requirements and participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Utilize various databases and data collection tools to ensure accurate data management and reporting

Required qualifications

• Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) certification or Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) certification
• Experience in clinical data abstraction
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Ability to adapt to changing workflows and technologies in a remote work environment
