Oncology Data Specialist (KY Licensed)

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Oncology Data Specialist to support the department's mission by providing timely information to clinicians and the Kentucky Cancer Registry.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete abstracting and case finding from medical record charts
• Utilize SEER, MPH Rules, FORDS, Collaborative staging, and AJCC staging rules for data coding
• Adhere to ACOS Standard 5.2 and maintain assigned productivity standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Two years of related experience in abstracting and case finding cancer cases
• Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) certification required within three years of hire
• Knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy & physiology
• Ability to sit at a computer for long periods with repetitive motion
