Oncology Medical Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for a part-time Medical Director, Oncology.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and oversight of oncology and hematology-related medical policies
• Serve as a medical liaison to ensure alignment of clinical strategy and operational execution
• Conduct peer-to-peer discussions with treating oncologists and hematologists regarding patient treatment plans

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Medical degree required (M.D. or D.O.)
• Board certification in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology required
• Minimum of 5 years of post-training clinical experience in oncology and hematology
• Familiarity with chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted agents
• Understanding of healthcare insurance and utilization management landscape
