Oncology Medical Director

Job Summary

Leading the design and execution of clinical trials for late-phase and early-phase oncology programs, the full-time Oncology Medical Director will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, ensure patient safety, and manage clinical development strategies, while working remotely or onsite in Northbrook, IL.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the design and delivery of clinical trials, ensuring alignment with overall clinical strategy
• Serve as Medical Monitor, responsible for safety monitoring and generating safety-related documentation
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient execution of clinical trials and high-quality data acquisition

Required qualifications

• MD or MD/PhD with completed oncology fellowship and board certification
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical trial design and execution within the pharmaceutical industry or academia
• Proven ability to design clinical trials that yield high-quality data for decision-making
• Experience managing clinical trials and serving as a medical monitor
• Excellent communication skills in English, with experience in global and multicultural environments
