Oncology Strategy Director

Job Summary

Serving as a scientific and strategic leader, the full-time remote Oncology Strategy Director will manage Amgen's Partners of Choice academic collaboration network, engaging with key opinion leaders and internal R&D teams to advance oncology research aligned with high unmet medical needs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the scientific and strategic direction of the APoC network, defining priority research areas
• Engage with external key opinion leaders and academic investigators to shape collaborative research agendas
• Partner with senior R&D stakeholders to translate scientific insights into actionable recommendations

Required qualifications

• Doctorate degree with 4 years, Master's degree with 7 years, or Bachelor's degree with 9 years of healthcare business experience
• Four or more years of experience in corporate strategy, business development, or alliance management
• Advanced scientific degree (PhD, MD, or equivalent) with a strong foundation in oncology or translational science
• Demonstrated experience in engaging with academic investigators to develop scientific collaborations
• Knowledge of oncology R&D, including translational research and clinical development
