Oncology Variant Assessment Scientist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Variant Assessment Scientist I: Oncology (REMOTE-US).

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze diagnostic molecular genetic test results and provide clinical interpretation
• Write research articles and participate in updating variant classification guidelines
• Manage variant pre-classification workflow and assist in developing gene-specific tools

Required Qualifications

• PhD and/or MD in molecular genetics, human genetics, molecular pathology, or related field; MS considered with exceptional expertise
• Thorough knowledge of current theories and principles of human genetics
• Experience in oncology/HCT and prior reporting specialty is preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Excellent written communication skills
