One Health Consultant

Job Summary

To support the implementation of the One Health Initiative in Guyana, the full-time One Health Consultant will facilitate coordination and capacity building activities, manage technical deliverables, and support monitoring and evaluation efforts remotely with periodic travel to the country.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate the development and implementation of technical deliverables under the One Health grant agreement
• Coordinate One Health activities with national authorities and technical committees
• Support capacity building and progress monitoring of International Health Regulations (IHR) capacities

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in public health, epidemiology, social sciences, or a related field
• At least 7 years of combined national and international experience in One Health and/or International Health Regulations (IHR)
• Fluency in English is required
• Strong knowledge of disaster risk reduction, emergency preparedness, and capacity building
• Experience in coordinating multiple stakeholders, including government and international organizations
