Job Summary

A company is looking for an Online Adjunct Faculty with a specialization in Family History: Geographic Specialization to mentor students and facilitate teaching and learning in an online environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor students and facilitate teaching and learning in online courses
  • Teach about records, including their geographical-historical background, and principles of paleography
  • Guide students in producing research reports on area-specific genealogical research problems

Required Qualifications and Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Family History or genealogical certification through ICAPGen or the Board for Certification of Genealogists (BCG) is required
  • Three years professional experience and/or a credential in conducting research in the specific geographic region for the course
  • Minimum of three years of full-time professional genealogy work is preferred
  • Online and/or classroom teaching experience is helpful but not necessary
  • Must support the missions, values, and standards of the affiliated institutions, including maintaining the standards of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
