Job Summary
To facilitate an engaging virtual learning environment, the part-time Online Adjunct Professor - Hospitality Management will prepare and deliver course content, provide student support, and participate in departmental activities while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and manage course materials in Blackboard, ensuring timely updates and adherence to quality standards
- Provide approximately 12-15 hours of instruction weekly, including facilitating discussions and hosting virtual office hours
- Monitor student progress and engagement using Blackboard's Retention Center, providing feedback and support to at-risk students
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in Travel and Tourism or MBA with a concentration in Travel and Tourism
- Experience in online education and familiarity with distance learning best practices
- Ability to demonstrate contemporary knowledge in the field of Hospitality Management
- Strong commitment to student engagement and academic support
- Proven ability to utilize active learning strategies and authentic assessments
