Job Summary

A university is searching for a person to fill their position for a Online Biology Teaching Assistant.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Assist in managing generic student communications
  • Analyze student activity within discussions and assessments and choose the appropriate responses
  • Utilize online learning platform (Blackboard) to communicate with students

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Biology, Botany, Zoology or any Biological specialty
  • Master’s degree in any discipline with at least 18 semester or 27 quarter hours of graduate course work in a life science
  • Previous teaching experience with adult learners, required
  • Ability to lead group discussions
  • Ability to keep accurate records
