Online Civics Teacher

Job Summary

To support a global classroom, the part-time Online Civics Teacher will plan and deliver engaging live lessons on government and citizenship while utilizing technology to create an interactive learning environment for high school students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality live lessons tailored to a diverse, international group of students
• Assess student progress and provide targeted feedback to ensure strong learning outcomes
• Manage the online classroom on Canvas, keeping it organized with assignments and assessments for easy student access

Required qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years' teaching experience at the high school level (Grades 9-12) in a school setting
• A Bachelor's degree or higher in History, Political Science, or a related field
• Familiarity with online teaching platforms and a passion for technology-enabled education
• Knowledge of a US high school curriculum and associated external examinations
• Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with students and parents
