Online Computer Science Teacher

Job Summary

To support a vibrant online learning environment, the part-time Online Computer Science Teacher for CS: Intro to Java will plan and deliver engaging live lessons, assess student progress, and utilize digital tools to foster an interactive classroom experience, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality live lessons tailored to a diverse, international group of students
• Assess student progress and provide targeted feedback to ensure strong learning outcomes
• Manage the online classroom on Canvas, keeping it organized with assignments and assessments

Required qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years' teaching experience at the high school level (Grades 9-12) in a school setting
• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
• Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with students and parents
• Familiarity with online teaching platforms and a passion for technology-enabled education
• Knowledge of a US high school curriculum and associated external examinations
