Online Cyber Security Instructor

Job Summary

Seeking a part-time Online Cyber Security Instructor to teach networking or security courses, who will prepare course materials, facilitate engaging virtual discussions, and provide timely feedback to students while maintaining an active presence in the online classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver course content in Blackboard, ensuring timely updates and engagement with students
• Facilitate discussions and provide feedback, maintaining a minimum participation standard and responding to student inquiries within 48 hours
• Participate in faculty meetings and professional development activities to enhance teaching effectiveness and student retention

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in cybersecurity or a related field
• At least one of the following certifications: CYSA+ or PenTest+ (certifications must be current)
• Three years of experience in higher education within the last ten years
• Demonstrated expertise in the subject matter being taught
• Experience with online teaching and diverse technologies for student engagement
