Online Horticulture Instructor

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Online Adjunct Instructor in Horticulture or Hydroponics.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate engagement in 5-week undergraduate-level courses in horticulture, hydroponics/aquaponics, and related subjects
• Teach courses asynchronously with an average of 20 students per course
• Provide timely feedback, engage in Discussion Board tasks, and respond to students

Required Qualifications

• Terminal degree (e.g. PhD) in horticulture, plant science, controlled environment agriculture, or a related discipline, or a master's degree with significant professional experience
• Ability to efficiently operate a personal computer and associated software
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Personal commitment to the environmental focus and mission of the institution
• Experience teaching adult learners and/or in an online context is preferred
