Online Math Tutor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Tutor 3 to provide online math tutoring for students.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide mathematical tutorial help via online text-based chat for middle school math through Algebra II/Geometry and/or Linear Algebra/Calculus
• Assist other tutors and monitor chats for inappropriate behavior, implementing redirection as necessary
• Tutor students using differentiated approaches and grade-appropriate, mathematically correct language

Required Qualifications

• Recent graduate of a BS degree in mathematics or mathematics education program, or current student with 3+ years of tutoring experience
• Experience teaching middle or high school math preferred
• Demonstrate math proficiency up to and including Algebra II/Geometry and/or Linear Algebra/Calculus
• Access to a computer and high-speed internet
• Minimum commitment of 12 hours per week for students or 8 hours per week for teachers
