Online Medical Coding Instructor

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Adjunct Faculty member to teach Health Information/Medical Coding courses online.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach courses according to established course and learning objectives
• Develop effective relationships to mentor and advise students for academic and career success
• Utilize technology effectively in teaching and course management

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution
• RHIA, RHIT, CCA, CCS, CPC, or other coding certification required
• Experience teaching online college courses preferred
• 3+ years of practical work experience as a Medical Coder or Health Information professional preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse student population
