Online Nursing Tutor

Job Summary

To support student success in nursing education, the part-time Online Nursing Tutor will conduct remote tutoring sessions using the Socratic method to foster critical thinking skills while being available primarily during evenings and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate online tutoring sessions using video, audio, and chat features to engage students effectively
• Develop and implement strategies that encourage student independence and critical thinking
• Respond promptly to session requests and maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate student needs

Required qualifications

• Advanced knowledge in nursing gained through an undergraduate or graduate degree or relevant professional experience
• Experience in tutoring or teaching methodology, preferably at the college level
• Excellent academic performance in nursing-related coursework
• Access to reliable high-speed Internet and a quiet environment for conducting sessions
• Availability to tutor a minimum of 2-5 hours per week during peak academic semesters
