Online Political Science Educator
Job Summary
To support the undergraduate Political Science program and the Master of Public Administration degree, the part-time Online Political Science Educator will teach 1-2 online courses per quarter, including a graduate-level course in Non-profit Management, while ensuring a high-quality educational experience and fostering an inclusive learning environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide a high-quality online educational experience in consultation with program faculty
- Develop and maintain an engaging LMS course shell (Canvas) with active learning components
- Promote equity and access in the classroom while supporting the program's learning outcomes
Required qualifications
- A Master's in Public Administration (M.P.A) or related field
- Experience in college teaching, particularly online education
- Demonstrated commitment to serving underserved student populations
- Satisfactory completion of a criminal and credential background check
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship
