Job Summary
Seeking a part-time Online Public Policy Lecturer for the Public Administration Graduate Certificate Program, this position will focus on teaching the PSPA 5010 Public Policy Analysis course in an online, primarily asynchronous format during the Spring 2027 semester, with potential future offerings in various terms.
Key responsibilities
- Teach the PSPA 5010 Public Policy Analysis course, adapting the syllabus as needed while maintaining learning outcomes
- Facilitate optional live sessions approximately every other week to enhance student engagement
- Consider teaching additional courses within the SCPS Public Administration Certificate program based on expertise and availability
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Public Affairs, or a closely related field; terminal degree preferred
- At least 5 years of public sector experience
- Previous online teaching or training experience, particularly with adult learners
- Evidence of recent and/or current professional experience relevant to public administration
- Strong written and oral communication skills are highly desirable
