Online Science Instructor

Job Summary

Seeking mission-driven educators, the part-time contract Online Science Instructor will deliver engaging online courses in Environmental Science and General Biology, fostering student success and promoting scientific reasoning in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach 11-week live online courses using student-centered instructional strategies
• Design and facilitate inquiry-driven lab experiences in a fully online format
• Provide timely feedback and support to students while collaborating with peers to enhance instructional practices

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in Biology, Environmental Science, or a closely related field
• At least 3 years of college-level science teaching experience
• Demonstrated ability to design meaningful online lab experiences
• Strong content knowledge in environmental science and/or biology at the introductory college level
• Passion for equity and supporting diverse student backgrounds
