Online Sociology Adjunct

Job Summary

To support the educational mission, the part-time Online Sociology Adjunct will teach various sociology courses, maintain an engaging learning environment, and provide comprehensive assessments while utilizing diverse instructional technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging course content and assessments, including comprehensive final exams
• Maintain an appropriate learning climate that encourages idea exchange and academic integrity
• Assist with recruitment, advising, and retention activities, and participate in departmental committees

Required qualifications

• Master's degree with 18 or more graduate hours in Sociology from a regionally accredited institution
• Proficiency in computer literacy and various instructional technologies
• Ability to teach a diverse student population, including high school dual credit students
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and a strong work ethic
