Online Sports and Health Faculty

Job Summary

Engaging students in a remote environment, the part-time Online Sports and Health Faculty will deliver online lessons, facilitate classroom discussions, and evaluate student work while adhering to the Community of Inquiry Framework and APUS guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver online lessons and facilitate interactions in classroom forums for undergraduate and/or graduate students
• Evaluate and grade student assignments, providing effective feedback to support learning and success
• Participate in professional development and maintain discipline knowledge through engagement in professional communities

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in Sport and Health Science, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution
• Preferred doctoral degree in a relevant field
• Ten or more years of experience in health, fitness, wellness, or athletic coaching
• Three or more years of college-level online teaching experience preferred
• Record of excellence in teaching
