Job Summary
A private, non-profit Christian university is seeking a Online Writing Center Tutor.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Providing formative writing instruction and feedback to doctoral, master’s, and undergraduate online students
- Creating and delivering effective writing instruction both asynchronously and synchronously
- Reviewing student course papers, dissertation chapters, and research proposals for content
Position Requirements Include:
- Experience working with adult online learners
- Expertise in APA style (7th edition) and sufficient familiarity with social science research
- Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal abilities
- Competence in (online) writing center pedagogy serving undergraduate and graduate students
- Critical thinking and analytical skills
- Organizational skills
