Job Summary
Supporting compliance activities for Assurant Canada's business lines, the full-time Ontario Licensed Compliance Specialist will conduct oversight of creditor and inclusive insurance products, monitor legislative developments, and handle privacy matters related to Canadian regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct compliance and distribution oversight activities for creditor and inclusive insurance products
- Monitor and assess legislative and regulatory developments, providing updates to the compliance team and business lines
- Handle privacy matters, including investigations and responses to privacy access requests and complaints
Required qualifications
- University degree or equivalent post-secondary academic background
- 2+ years of experience in compliance, risk, quality assurance, or a similar role
- 2+ years of experience within a financial institution, preferably in insurance
- Knowledge of federal and provincial insurance acts and regulations
- Familiarity with federal and provincial privacy legislation and regulations
