Ontology Architect

Job Summary

Leading high-impact applied engineering and analytics initiatives, the full-time remote Ontology Architect will design and implement enterprise-wide ontologies and knowledge graph architectures while driving measurable outcomes at scale.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the creation and evolution of enterprise-wide ontologies, taxonomies, and controlled vocabularies
• Design and implement scalable architecture and governance for enterprise Knowledge Graphs
• Establish best practices and data contracts for semantic models, ensuring consistent graph schema updates

Required qualifications:

• Expert-level mastery of core semantic technologies
• Hands-on experience with production-grade Graph Databases / Triple Stores
• Proficiency with ontology engineering and taxonomy management software
• Practical understanding of Data Mesh paradigms and semantic layer design
• Strong baseline in traditional data concepts, including relational databases and ETL/ELT integration patterns
